Capt. Matt Novotny is a tank commander, callsign Saber Six, in the Victoria-Bravo human colony planetary militia.

Matt fights alongside Jessica Francis in the successful defense of Victoria-Bravo from Minsha mercenaries ordered by General Peepo to destroy human colonies. In Deathangel, Matt dies when Victoria-Bravo is attacked by Cochkala mercenaries working for a disgraced Peacemaker.
