Cartwright's Cavaliers
First published in December 2016 by Chris Kennedy Publishing, Cartwright's Cavaliers is the first book published in the now over one hundred novel, shared Four Horsemen Universe. Written by Mark Wandrey, it introduces readers to the Four Horsemen Universe and one of the main characters of the universe, Jim Cartwright.

Heir to one of the leading "Four Horsemen" mercenary companies, Jim Cartwright is having a bad year. Having performed poorly, especially on the physical aspects, on his high school VOWs tests, he's just learned his mother has bankrupted the family company before disappearing, robbing him of his Cavalier birthright.
But the Cartwright commanders of eras past were smart - they left a legacy of equipment Jim can use to complete a new contract and resurrect the company. It's up to Jim and a retired merc as his only real support to find the people he needs to pull the machinery of war out of mothballs, train those people to operate that machinery, and lead them to at least successfully complete a contract. If he's good enough, the company can still be salvaged.
But then again, he's never been good enough, according to the opinions of every other merc out there. Who is going to follow an overweight, out of shape kid who knows more about computers than handling a MAC gun?
